Default 100nl really weird spot.

For some reason PT didn't get this hand history so I'm going to do it from memory...

Alright so the most important thing about this hand is that my image is SUPER laggy. I think two or three hands previously I showed a pretty crazy multi-street bluff, and I had been pretty active besides that. Villain seems to be a pretty poor player over the ~30 hands I've played with him. His stats were something like 35/0/1, generally too passive pre/post flop. Even though he is a poor player, it is likely that he thinks I'm crazy.

Heres the hand:

Effective stack is ~100bb

I make it $3.50 from utg+1 with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Villain calls from the small blind, big blind folds.

We take a T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] flop HU

He checks and I check. Usually this is a c-bet for me but this board connects with his range and also my image basically dictates that I won't get away with anything.

Turn is the Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

He bets $2 into an $8 pot. I make it $8 to go and he INSTA min-3 bets it to $14. I'm extremely confused and elect to call ala Daniel Negreanu.

River is a red 8 and he checks quickly.

What do you guys think about my turn play, and will you value bet this river?

I valuebet it yes, but if you do I think you have to be willing to call a c/r.

a guy playing the way he described this guy as will just never be instamin 3 betting the turn and then checkraising the river with air. I think yeah you should bet the river but if he does checkraise i would probably fold

Bet/fold probably. I doubt he's check/raising river with air here. You lose too much value checking, because always remember "People are morons".

I think the turn call is the best you could've done to not blow up pot with a one pair hand. After turn, as played, your hand is transparent to villain now. The insta-check by villain on river seems weak. I'd be inclined to 1/4 pot bet river for value, if he min-3bets you, easy call obv. Fold to CRAI.
