Busto flush draw or a boat, probably a boat with that low AF. You are getting 7:2 though so this seems good.

no, it's a tough fold on the flop, but do not bet the turn.

I agree. I check the turn for pot control. After your turn bet you leave yourself no choice but to call his river raise.

Re: 50NL; AQ flops TPSK gets minraised on flop
Why check turn behind? All you really have to worry about is AK, A8, and 55. Meanwhile there's still a diamond draw. And a lot of A's will call with the paired board don't you think?

Re: 50NL; AQ flops TPSK gets minraised on flop
I don't know whats up with all of the passive advice on the UNL boards lately but between everyone playing pot control with overpairs, and strong top pair hands its making me sick. Make money in this hand by value betting donk villains A10 that he wont lay down, don't keep the pot small just because you don't have the nuts.

Re: 50NL; AQ flops TPSK gets minraised on flop
On this board with the following action against this villain I sure would. People seem to really underestimate the donks ability to fold anything ever.
If I'm behind in this one particular time then so be it, but if I believe I am even slightly ahead of villains range you can guarantee I will be pushing that edge to the max. Its not about what exact hand the villain holds, but what range of hands that the particular villain will call/bet/fold. Just because you got your stack in way behind when villain turns over a set of 5's doesn't mean you overplayed your hand, if you believe villain has a set 20% of the time then he will be beating you one in five times you stack off. It's about the other 4 times you stack him that makes you money. Quit being results oriented that you lost a hand with tptk or an overpair and realize its about the equity involved with the hand. |
