Default going to kansas city for a couple of days, which casino?

has the best poker? Do the casinos close there? If so, what time? What are the limits? I haven't been in about 10 years but if I remember there is a limit of $500 per night or something like that? thanks guys!

Default Re: going to kansas city for a couple of days, which casino?

Harrah's has 1/2 ($60-$200), 2/5 ($200-$500), and 3/6 limit

last time I was at Ameristar was last summer, they had 3/6, 4/8, and 15/30 and I think the 4/8 may have had a kill, along with 2/5 NL

not sure what Argosy has these days, probably the same 1/2 2/5 3/6 stuff but fewer tables of it

not sure if Isle of Capri's poker room is still open, if it is it's not worth going there

general rule of thumb has always been to go to Harrah's for NL and Ameristar for limit

casinos close on weeknights for 3 or 4 hours in the wee hours of the morning

you can buy $500 in chips during each 2 hour period which go from 2:00-4:00, 4:00-6:00, etc. If you're playing 2/5 then try to get there just before an even hour so that you can rebuy soon if you go bust, and if you're waiting to get in a game and notice an even hour approaching, then buy 5 black chips and color down when you get a seat
