bottom two, a little deep
Villian is playing 26/16 and is pretty straightforward postflop.
His range is tight when 3-betting and calling 3-bets. I`m playing tagish but cbet about 80% of flops against him. What`s my move on the turn? Re: bottom two, a little deep
How does he play AK oop preflop to a 3 bet? Does he call AJ oop to a 3 bet?

Re: bottom two, a little deep
call w/ AK, fold w/ AJ imo.
prolly 4bet w/ AK sometimes w/ smaller stacks. |

Re: bottom two, a little deep
I check and call the turn, then eval the river, if he checks behind on the turn and a blank comes i v bet or maybe CR the river if he will value bet real light on the river.

Re: bottom two, a little deep
well since you have a 2 and 4, i would say his range is almost entirely 50% AK, 40% AQ, 10% AA (unless he is one of those tight players that almost always 4 bets AA preflop). If That is the case, i think you should bet about 2/3 the pot and prob fold to a reraise. He cant really have a pair and a flush draw so his hands are really limited if hes this snug. Bet fold looks good.

Re: bottom two, a little deep
i think i check call turn and check fold river
or if turn is check check i make a sweet value bet on the river... |

Re: bottom two, a little deep
at first I wanted to bet the turn here for value, but I think that leads to trouble when you get called, with these stack sizes. so, i guess, c/c. Though I don't know how often he'll bet a worse hand on the turn here unless its a draw/light float.
and i hate your reraise preflop, but whatever. if he folds like 3/4 of the time, then sure. |

Re: bottom two, a little deep
check/call turn + check/call river. AK is obv pushing for value. if he checks behind the turn, prolly check/raiseallin on river.

Re: bottom two, a little deep
I am not sure how tight he is, but would he only call with ak (even if he is in position) with many draws out there (given that ur three bet range is wide).
I think it is much more likely that he flat calls with aq and aa, possibly aj. I would proceed with a lot of caution. Check calling on both streets with a possible fold on river. |

Re: bottom two, a little deep
Stacks to the turn look like ~$20k effective. Bet/fold 5k I'd say... if stacks were a bit more shallow I would c/rai. If he has a tight range calling 3bets, the only hands he's shoving turn with would be AQ, 444, and 222. Hands like KQhh just call here and c riv. So as played, bet/fold turn for $5k IMO. If he flatcalls turn 5k and river is blank, just quickly shove. If he flatcalls turn 5k and river is like 9s or somewut blank but backdoor flush hits, bet $12k. If river is heart, bet/fold for 1/2 pot becuz he's not shoving worse. If river is like Jh, probably c/c or MAYBE even c/f since it makes a lot of better two pairs as well as flush draw hitting.
