Default AKs tough flop spot

Villain seems like a fairly solid player over about 100 hands. I really hate these spots.

Think it's push or fold really, read dependent...
Only thing you beat is pretty much the flush draw, or air, unless your read tell u otherwise.
Really doubt he'd play a weaker ace that fast and aggresive, might be A10 or a set, choosing to play it fast because of the flush draw..

Personally I fold here, unless he's been really aggressive in spots like these.

I think I go with this hand with this board. Villain will be raising a lot of combo draws, and may well be playing a weaker ace fast because of the board. The two hands you are worried about are AT and 55, and you are still live against AT.
I think his range is KQs, KJs, QJs, AQ, AJ, AT, 55, and v occasionally air. So I just 4bet all in. If the board was drier then I'd find an easy fold..

Unless you have a read then id muck. He seems very willing to play for stacks. I don't think spades would raise so much and AQ is probably only other hand you beat against a solid player. Just let it go and move on. This is a set or AT way too often to make not folding profitable.

I also think that since hes solid, this depends on your own play quite a lot. If you've been playing 26/24 then he most likely will stack off with AQ, but if you've been playing 15/12 then you have to fold since his range will be tighter.

Yeah these spots give me trouble, I pushed all in and he called flipping over 55. I'm still not convinced folding is always the right play here, I think it is very read dependent in this particular situation, but I think this is a big leak of mine in these spots so I'm trying to work on it. Thanks for the responses and more welcomed.

I honestly don't think its a big leak as the play is very marginal if he's capable of playing AQ or a combo draw like this. Stacking off with AJ here would be bad, but saying its a big leak is rather results oriented thinking.

I fold in spots like this without reads. I hate myself every time I stack off with TPTK, you dont even have position so you cant really call and re-evaluate the turn. It looks like hes playing for stacks here.

If he never does this with a draw, and rarely raises with AJ, then it's very close to break-even given all the money already in the pot.

Board: 5d As Ts
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 43.535% 43.18% 00.36% 11969 99.00 { AdKd }
Hand 1: 56.465% 56.11% 00.36% 15553 99.00 { TT, 55, AQs-ATs, A5s, AQo, ATo, A5o }

Since it's so close, go with your gut. If you think he's solid, this is likely to be a little worse than break-even, especially because his weakest aces will probably fold to your push.
