Tough spot with QQ
Both villains are solid regs, both run like 24/18/4
We havnt played big pots before, and Ive been playing straightforward/tight. The only read I have is that button loves to RR in position, so we can assume a wider range here. Although I'm pretty sure he does have a reasonable hand to bet this flop. Whats the best play to maximize value on the turn? And why? Re: Tough spot with QQ
I'm not necessarily crazy about my hand in that spot, given the preflop action. I might have reraised preflop. Anyways, I probably just call here if you're 'looking to maximize value on the turn' as you asked. Assuming Button is aggressive, I probably for a check-raise on any non-scary turn. If you shove flop, Button is folding all his re-steal hands or missed big cards like AK/AQ and calling when you're beat (JJ/99/KK/AA). I'm more worried about CO than Button in this pot though.. |

Re: Tough spot with QQ
fold. all you beat from button is a complete bluff (this is possible), but youre not even closing action. button is not valuebetting AJ here.

Re: Tough spot with QQ
Do you prefer 4betting preflop considering my read on button?
Also, how about bet/fold on flop? |

Re: Tough spot with QQ
Folding is too weak in my opinion, and probably a leak if villain has a wide 3-betting range pre-flop. That said, I also don't think you should raise as with these stack sizes, you are basically going all in and no worse hands will call. I prefer calling the flop since you give the impression that you are trying to keep the pot small and are a little worried. Also, you have the cut-off behind left to act, so raising is risky. Your play may induce a bluff from a worse hand on the turn. If he has a better hand, I don't think there is much you can do here.
