$20r- 88 in the BB facing UTG Raise Who\'s 20+bbs deep
Villain was just moved to the table a couple of hands before this one. No reads.
I've had issues overplaying 77-99/AQ lately and would like some help on this hand step-by-step. Call. If you don't hit your set, check/fold.

Did you mean 400/800 blinds?

I'd call, but I'm not necessarily c/f on the flop (remember the majority of his range is unpaired high cards.) Just play poker on the flop, you're deep enough to have some room to maneuver. I'd also argue that if you're folding every time you don't flop a set you won't get paid off enough to make the PF call profitable.

I think you're both deep enough to justify a call. I'd lead out about half the pot on that flop and find out where I'm at. If UTG play, I'd probably check/fold unless hit the miracle 8.

Re: $20r- 88 in the BB facing UTG Raise Who\'s 20+bbs deep
Other than flopping a set or a draw, this is a good flop for us rite? Lead for about 3200 and see what happens. I don't see C/R as an option here just because you commit yourself to calling a 4-bet when you'd clearly be behind.
If Villain is the type of player that would slow down if he's called on the flop than a C/C maybe worth it, But I want to know where I'm at in the hand. |
