party poker crashes on me always

It crashes within 5 minutes of starting up, alot of the time instantly. I tried reinstalling the application, but that didn't work. I normally play on prima without any trouble and just started to play on party today, but it has been constantly crashing. If I set its priorty to high then my whole computer crashes. I do not know what or how to correct this, any help?

What does the error message say when it crashes? What OS are you running? What are your systems specs? What other programs are you running?

Are you running any kind of anti-virus software? Have you ever had a previous version of party poker on your computer? Have you ever used CCleaner? Do you have the latest Windows updates?

no anti virus, I have had previous versions, but I uninstalled them and reinstalled the latest version. No, I have not used Ccleaner and yes I have the latest updates

Alright. Try this.
1) Uninstall PartyPoker
2) Go to the PartyGaming directory if it still exists (default is c:\program files\partygaming)and delete everything in there.
3) Download CCleaner
4) Run the Cleaner and check/fix Registry issues.
5) Reinstall Party

Thanks for all of your help,
I tried all this and it works the first time I start up party. I am able to play until I exit party the 1st time, then party crashes whenever I attempt to open any table when I start it up the 2nd time. My power went out for a few seconds last time and when I logged in it went to open up the tables I was previously active act it immediately crashed.

I noticed the problem occurs only when I go to open a table the second(and thereafter) time I run party after reinstalling it.

This seems to be a common problem.

That thread has a list of possible fixes that might work for you. Post back here if you need some help executing the fixes. Good luck.

Edit: Please post the error from your Event Log when Party crashes. There should be errors in the Application Log and the System Log.

Only error in application log, not system log.

Im getting slightly different errors then they are as the number of tables visible in the lobby has no effect. It lets me play as long as I want the 1st time and then if I close party and attempt to reopen it anytime after that when I click to open a table a box pops up saying opening table xxxxxx and then about 1/4 of the way thru the moving bar the opening table thing dissapears and the lobby appears to move down to my taskbar (in the same fashion as when you minimize a window) where it still says party poker, but it does not respond and I have to close it.
