Default Super thin value bet

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (5 handed) internettexasholdem.com

UTG ($57.75)
MP ($119.85)
Button ($102)
Hero ($260.80)
BB ($163.35)

Preflop: Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
3 folds, Hero raises to $4, BB calls $3.

Flop: ($8) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $4.5, BB calls $4.50.

Turn: ($17) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, BB checks.

River: ($17) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $8.5, BB raises to $17, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $42.50

Villain is 25/13/5.9 and seems the fit or fold type of player. Definitely capable of floating with less than TP. I've been playing a relatively tight game but throwing in random hands to open and 3bet here and there.

He's seen me bluff rivers for a half pot bet and so I think he can call me down light here.

i dont like this at all, i will lead fold turn. As played i think i check/call river perhaps, he didnt peel the 3 so you are behind everything but air

think i c/c river here. cant see him calling/not raising with a worse hand here. i think he would vb hands like tens on this river anyway.

Bet a bit more on the river, fold is okay. Check/calling this river is worse than betting. BB would have bet the turn if he was floating

He won't bet the turn when he floats. I don't like a check-call since he'll check behind with some of the hands that would call a bet to see a cheaper showdown. For most hands it went call/check/check and the occassional call/call/check depending on the strength of his pair relative to the board.

Is the flop bet size really too small? It's really dry and I always half pot cbet here.

To me, that makes this river sound like a check-fold instead of a bet-fold.
