Average was about 7k on Stars $50+1R. I called the flop instead of shoving to let him bluff the turn. Is it better to shove the flop? Not a very good read on villain, but his stats are 30/14/oo on the thirty hands that I've been at his table. |

Re: Standard call?
Seems like a tough spot to me. That queen (also third heart) was definitely not a good card. With AK he'd reraise preflop, but he could definitely call with KQ there, or QJ. His flop raise may have been a bluff, and I wouldn't be suprised if the queen hit him, which is pretty unfortunate. Also, I could see someone bluffing the turn quite often. You just called his reraise, most people would think you would push with an overpair there. He could also figure that the Q would scare you if you had TP. But, you are getting more than 2 to 1, and its possible he has Ahx here semibluffing. I think I find a call here.

Re: Standard call?
Dont like the idea of calling to let him bluff. Is he has some chit like KJ off he may give up the bluff on turn but bust you if he hits, so you might not win any extra money but get busto if he hits. And a semi bluff like hearts + one or 2 overs is also likely so i think its best to beat him into to the pot with all-in. You pretty much play a guessing game if you just call.

Re: Standard call?
I'm jamming the flop against a player that plays 30% of his hands and started off by posting in this hand. He could be semi-bluff raising with the flush draw (my likely bet), or could be putting you on over-cards thinking he has the best hand with a small PP here or something like A8.

Re: Standard call?
With 4500 out there, I jam the flop. Too many difficult turn spots, even though we have position, to extract more from a bluff. Not to mention, if he's comin' now and he's comin' light, a lot of turns'll slow him down.
