id limp as well preflop,u want other behind u to calls,
i would raise preflop if i was on the button or CO with like
4 callers in front.

u should only cap if they play really bad, like even its obvious u have a straight or flush ,they will call with 3rd or bottom pair multiway pot etc...

To encourage overlimpers or because you don't think you have the equity to raise?

People calling down liberally is a reason not to bloat the pot, not vice versa.

I'm down with the raise. Lately I've been raising any two suited broadway after any number of limpers.

I call the 3-bet.

I know what you are getting at with the possible cap, but I don't think your hand is that good, even if SB is racking off.

To add...

Even when players rack off their last few bets preflop, its normally with something like an Ace, two high cards or a pair. You don't fair too well vs that range.

I don't raise with three limpers in front w/ QTs. It's a hand I'd like to see a flop with against multiple opponents, or raise a single weak limper when I have position.

I limp along with the rest and hope to see a flop cheaply. As played, I just call the 3-bet, as we're not getting it heads up and we already have second best position. MP3 is calling the cap after cold calling the initial raise. We've already invested too much money with a potentially dominated hand, and are relying heavily on straight and flush possibilities.

I just limp normally. If you were a seat or two later, I'd be more tempted to raise to buy the button. Although if you do raise and get cold callers, it's not that bad. I don't cap either.
