Default NL25 Fold this flush (98suited)?

Not a great read here, but he did raise 3BB in 2nd position with QTsuited and he is 44.2/11.6/1.0 over 46 hands.

I think this is a fairly easy fold especially given his very low aggression stats. What do you think? Is the fold too tight? What % of the time do you think this is a flush ?

fold or raise preflop, i fold to the BBs raise because of the bad relative position we have with a drawing hand. I hate folding this turn, c/r ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR IN.

IMO the fold is way too tight, and the check on the turn is wrong.

a basic rule: flopped flush = the nutz

the fold is terrible. This is often a pair + draw, an overpair, set or 2pair. A lot of hands raise you here.. so just go broke with a flopped flush

Fold preflop or raise if you want to play.

As played relatively OOP vs PFR you have the problem of extraction/handreading whilst first to act - which is why we often fold this in EP.

Bet turn and if raised go from there - your hand looks like Ax to me which is fine if you c/r AI on the turn.

I think you'll have to pokerstove this vs his likely range as I think it's close - I may fold/shove turn if I'm raised but sicne I'm betting I'll probably stack off - flopped flsuh is ~6% AFAIK though it does happen as set/set as we all friggin know

Why are we checking the turn???? if he has the K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] he is gonna check right behind you?

This is too tight a fold, given that you committed the cardinal sin of limping UTG calling a raise what kind of flop were you looking for?

I have to go with the odds and call/felt my 118-1 shot , jeez I wouldn't even fold 77/44 here much less...............

This is a very poor fold. I'd say you folded the best hand here about 90% of the time. You have to bet that turn as any lone diamond higher than your 9 is drawing to too many outs. Further, you will find it hard to get paid off on the river if a diamond falls regardless of whether or not he holds one.

Lastly, the 1.0 AF is a very very limited read over only 46 hands. It is basically useless here.

Fold preflop.

Because...if you are playing 98s UTG and flop a flush with it and want to fold it, you shouldn't be playing 98s UTG.

I think I should probably have called, but I think it's alot closer than some of you think because the bet looks like at least a set or 2 pair alot of the time(because he's loose preflop and passive after, so if he had something like AT or A9 top pair with no diamonds I think he'd bet less on the turn) and his calling range preflop contains probably any suited king and likely J8suited+ and Q8suited+ and I think he may well call the raise with these because it's only 4BB.

with a set or two pair he has a drawing hand - drawing to a full house. you dont want him to draw so you better fold? this is silly. you want to make his draw unprofitable so i'd recommend reraising the turn. i also think every street is played very poorly.
