A pair of tens, bad flop, and a donk bet
The villain here is definitely a loose passive player.

I've got a loose passive player donking into me on a flop with three overcards and I'm sure he got part of it. I've got a lot of outs that are tainted and the pot is not that huge. Fold?? Doc |

Re: A pair of tens, bad flop, and a donk bet
Instafold. It's a loose-passive betting (bad news), there's three overcards (worse news), your set outs are practically worthless (makes straights/flushes), and your Q outs might only be for a chop and there's still the possibility of better draws.
This is a turbomuck AINEC. |

Call and fold the turn if you don't hit your straight. Be careful if you hit your set. From your description, you aren't getting bluffed here very often.

Re: A pair of tens, bad flop, and a donk bet
My first thought is easy fold. Then I did the math and with implied odds, I suppose you could peel, since you'll probably collect a few bets if you improve. I doubt this guy is on a flush draw, so I wouldn't be worried about the Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] or T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] improving his hand unless he can backdoor a flush. Spiking a T and then losing to his set of jacks sucks though. I suppose it's close and don't hate either decision, but I'd lean towards a fold.

[ QUOTE ] The villain here is definitely a loose passive player. [/ QUOTE ] This hurts your implied odds tremendously. Villain is not likely to bet on a 4-straight board (meaning you hit your set or straight) and will only give you action when you're beat, which gives you reverse-implied odds. Fold this and move on to the next hand. You also need to worry about the third player in the pot who (if he calls) could easily be holding some of your outs captive. |

Re: A pair of tens, bad flop, and a donk bet
*grunch* Fold. With the passive player betting he almost certainly has you beat, and there is someone to act behind too. Any straight or set outs might be dodgy (tainted?) as well.
