Default Is there a point in accumulating Party Points?

Now that there is no store, is there any difference between cashing your points out every week vs saving til you have 100K+ and then cashing out? I assume that your status (A,K,Q,J,2) remains the same whether u cash out or not right?

Cash for points. 100 pts = $1. You need min 2500 pts to cash out. What bemuses me is there is an option to opt out of points.

I'd rather cash out on a regular basis. Nobody knows, when Party gets the next nonense idea like entitling you to play in crappy monster tourneys for your points instead of beeing able to cash them out. And i doubt they will increase the value of a point anytime.
