Default Excel help, please

there is a formula in cell B4 [A4/A1]. i want to be able make a quick formula so it will populate column B and still use the divisor in A1 w/out manually typing it in?

so B5's formua = A5/A1.
B6's forumula = A6/A1.

suggestions? thanks.

You want A1 to be an absolute reference, rather than relative. It should read A5/$A$1. When you copy this, the A5 will change, but the $A$1 won't. You can enter it manually, or you can select the cell, put your cursor next to the "A1", and use the F4 key to toggle from relative to absolute and back again.
