Default Flopping trips and meeting resistence ( limit o8 ).

7 handed loose, but not wild limit 08 game. I have no reads on villain.

2 early players limp, I limp in mid position with A359 ( ace suited, but suits won’t matter in this hand ). Everyone folds to the little blind ( tight aggressive player, who will only raise the little blind here with a strong hand ) He raises, big blind folds, everyone calls. 4 players, 9 small bets in pot.

Flop is 33Q rainbow. LB checks, first limper bets, second limper raises, I three bet to make sure the LB who probably has A2 doesn’t decide to come in, little blind folds, first limper folds, villain 4 bets me, after hesitating quite a while ( I took this to mean I was probably in big trouble, but on the internet, who knows for sure ). I call. Heads up, 18 small bets in pot

Turn is 7, villain bets, I call.

River is 5. I missed a low and hit a small full house. Villain bets, I call.

Questions: Was three betting flop proper?
Should I have found a fold somewhere?
Should I have folded flop instead of 3 betting?

Looks standard. I probably play it the same way. Who's going to be playing 99 in O8? And the offchance he's actually GOT 39, whatever, gotta pay him. Once you hit your 5, definitely can't fold.

Any donk at the micro limits. Last night I was at a .10/.20 LO8 table where one of my opponents played any pocket pair...88, 99, 55...you get the picture. The worst part about it was he seemed to flop set after set and then turned or rivered boats. Luckily I didn't get involved with the luckbox. There was one hand however, where I had AA23 and raised. He called with K755. The flop came K7K. The donk told me he flopped the nuts and I believed him...so when he donk bet the flop I folded and he showed me his hand. You are obviously not playing at this level if you are asking, "Who's going to be playing 99 in O8?"

average hand requirements at the Micro PL o8 game i play. 4 cards. yeah thats about it four cards. the decent+ players are easy to pick out they will be the only ones folding and playing TAG they are so easy to spot out and note. at the micro stakes PLO8 is the most profitable game because everyone in it is a holdem player and push all in on jj106 when the flop comes 345 just because they have an overpair. Thank you WSOP NLHE on TV for teaching donks to play O8.

Yeah, I don't play at those stakes. So fair enough. But seriously, 99** against **** is still 47%. Your pocket 9s against my random 4 is behind! If we refine to to your 99** against my AL**, i'm a 58% favorite.

Moral: Don't play 9s.
