Default An experimental game: Sucker

I've been thinking about games that can be played in the absence of a quorum for a turbo. I present one such experiment:

http://www.lucs.lu.se/Courses/Spel/Parlor/Sucker.html

This game was invented by John Nash and some other math guys. It seems like the sort of simple game, ripe with potential for trickery and FPSing, that works well in POG.

Also, it needs no mod.

In?

I'd be in, but I need about 5 minutes to get some stuff. Plus I don't get how the very first capture is supposed to occur, but I might just be dumb.

Ohhhhhh you can make multiple piles. I get it.

This seems like it might be hard to play in a text based format, but seems like a cool game.

A proposal for format:

First turn is determined by the first post number of the 4th player to sign up. If the last number of the post is 1-2, the first player to sign up goes first. 3-4 goes to #2, 5-6 to #3, 7-8 to #4, and if the post is 9-0, the process is repeated with the forst post of the 3rd player, and so on. Or some other superior method (coin flip playoffs?)

The player posts like this for his first turn:

Turn #1
Stacks before:
VOX - VOX(7)
Lastchance - LC(7)
Madtown - MT(7)
VoraciousReader - VR(7)

VOX

Stacks after:
VOX - VOX(6)
Lastchance - LC(7)
Madtown - MT(7)
VoraciousReader - VR(7)

VR, it is your turn.

END Turn #1.

Then VR would post:

Turn #2
Stacks before:
VOX - VOX(6)
Lastchance - LC(7)
Madtown - MT(7)
VoraciousReader - VR(7)

VR
VOX

Stacks after:
VOX - VOX(6)
Lastchance - LC(7)
Madtown - MT(7)
VoraciousReader - VR(6)

Madtown

END turn #2.

A made up later round would look like this:

Turn #27
Stacks before:
VOX - VOX(2), LC(1), MT(1), K(1)
Lastchance - LC(1), K(4)
Madtown - MT(2), VR(3), VOX(2), K(1)
VoraciousReader - out K(3)

MT
LC
VR
VOX

MT
VOX

MT
