Re: Low M, is this a push?
i think u can wait for a better opportunity. you arent that short. With antes, wait till about 10ish BBs before you start pushing hands like this.

Re: Low M, is this a push?
This is significantly -EV. You're way too deep to push here.

Re: Low M, is this a push?
This is a slightly negative EV push if your opponents are calling properly.
K7s with 16BB They can call profitably with 26% of hands. Half the time you fold and win 500 for +250 EV Half the time your called and are a 37/62 dog for -300 EV Net ev of a push is negative 50chips if they call you exactly. Of course, most opponents are too tight, and if they are way too tight, this is an easy push. If they are calling approximately correctly (like would they call you with KTo, A3s, 55 ?) then this is a fold. Math 2 opponents, 26% range can call profitable .74*.74 = half the time they fold you win 500 chips nets 250 stove range, 37/62 dog (Your stack - .37xpot) *.5 = -300ish |

Re: Low M, is this a push?
A standard raise here will allow you to get away from the hand if one of the blinds wakes up with a real hand. Your M is still above 6.5 at the moment, which is by no means desperate yet. If you raise and get shoved, you can still fold and have an M of above 5.

Re: Low M, is this a push?
You also have to consider the possibility that you may be moved to a different table soon. Having a stack that big in BB makes it even more difficult for you to steal, as you really don't hurt him that much if you win.
If you know that you will not be moved to a different table, you will have to make a move with K7s next time round if possible, but if a move is very likely, perhaps wait for the move and then hope for a stealing position where the ones you are stealing from would be more scared to call. But nonetheless too weak at the actual position to push. |

Re: Low M, is this a push?
I donät think your M is low enough to start pushing and I'd say K7s is a hand you might want to se a flop with.
I'd probably call or fold, but I wouldn't push... |

Re: Low M, is this a push?
I have no idea why people are recommending you call and fold, or standard raise and fold.
Two thirds the time you will whiff the flop. When you are called theres a high degree of likelyhood you are dominated. You will often be called. If you are raised pre you will be priced in, yet plan to muck. K7 is weak. It does have high card strength, and an argument can be made to push if your opponents are calling too tight which is generally the case. Most often I would say this is a muck |
