Default Poker Table from Craigslist seller - thoughts?

Hello Home Poker,

I've contacted a seller on Craigslist about buying a Poker Table from them. According to the seller, the table is unused, but even a small amount of usage is ok by me.

Anyways about the table... I don't have a brand or anything like that. I do have a stock photo which I'm sure the seller found on the site he got the table from or something along those lines.

Anyways about the table...

Description:
"brand still in box new poker table
7 ft long- seats 10
green felt - cup holders- folding legs
paid 319.00
175 obo if pick up
89.00 extra if shipping"

He originally posted it for $175, but (after using my terrible haggling skills) I got him to meet me at $150 for the table. I've heard that building my own table would cost me around 150-170, but I'm not handy at all, so that's not really an option for me. Even if this table isn't worth $150, it would save me a bunch of me considering how much shipping for these items typically is.

What do you think, Home Poker?

Tables like that are generally worth about $200 bucks brand new, maybe a little less. I have one just like it and it gets the job done, fits 10 people decently, the padding is nice. Only one problem is the felt is actually felt, so it gets fuzzy and stuff, but this can be smoothed out perfectly with a lint roller.

**Actually, I'm not sure if that's the same table. Mine folds in the middle - doesn't look like that one does. Bottom line, $150 isn't bad.

Wow - that table looks just like the one that i got from Dicks sporting goods for $69.95 (on sale) - the list price was $249 i think. They had it on sale last week for $89.95 too. The table is fine, sturdy - perfect for a home game. I am thinking about recovering it though with some speed cloth but that is personal prefernce.

Kevin - nice tables i especially like the racetrack

If it's a table for 10, why are there only 8 cup holders. If you at all have the tools available, I'd build one. I also have never worked w/ wood, but am almost finished building my first one w/ no current flaws. You just have to plan carefully and go slow.

I paid ~$200 for a similar new fold up table a year ago. I agree that 150 is pretty good.

[/ QUOTE ]I agree. We did that (without legs, but we'll be putting some on soon for just a bit more money) for less than $200 and it is 10 times better than anything you can buy for that price range.
