Default Satellite - Push Range Question

thx for every answer
which range do you push in the following situation:

turboSat, 12 places pay, you are 18/34 - M = 4
you are in MP 1 , first in - behind you are 1 big, 2 medium, 2 small stacks

Default Re: Satellite - Push Range Question

Depends on what the stack size is of the BB...if they're basically pot committed and would make a loose call.

While your M is 4, what is your relative M? You're middle of the pack, but still have 22 left to be knocked out. There will be others that are forced all in also, so pull up the other tables and look at who else is going to be hit with the blinds. When will they be raised? Will you catch the blinds b4 they are raised again or not? Are other tables stalling? What about yours? Some people will stall themselves into getting hit with bigger blinds.

There's much more to consider than just what your M is and your range. That being said... with no more info than you've given, I push any pair (maybe not 22 or 33 depending on table), any suited broadway, A7s+. Some would say push nearly any two, esp if your table is tight and trying to stall their way into the $$. Take advantage of that if possible.
