Live 1-2 A9 s River Bluff
Reads on Villain: Saw him call a big bet with a gutshot without getting odds. Other than this he seems like a good player. The four hands prior to this one I have been dealt JJ, AKs, AA, AA, all of which have gone to showdowns.
Hero is dealt A9s in MP+1, limps in. Villain(button) raises to seven, hero calls. No one else calls. Flop ($19) (Jack of spades, two of diamonds, 5 of spades)(I have a nut spade flush draw). Hero checks, villain bets 15, hero raises to 35, villain calls. Turn ($89) (6 of hearts) Hero checks, villain checks River ($89) (10 of clubs) Hero bets 50 |

Re: Live 1-2 A9 s River Bluff
Meh.
Depending on stacks I would bet/3bet the flop. People love to raise bets when they are the one who raised prelfop. I don't like to c/r HU with draws. Since you did you might as well fire at the turn. Since you didn't the river bluff isn't going to seem so believable. You will get looked up by a lot of hands. Especially at live 1/2nl vs a player who you've already seen have trouble laying down a hand. |

Re: Live 1-2 A9 s River Bluff
Not sure what you are trying to rep with the river bet since you didn't lead the turn. To me the turn check screams "I'm trying to hit my draw"

Re: Live 1-2 A9 s River Bluff
Not sure what you're repping and since you've shown down huge huge hands the last 4 hands you're gonna get looked up a lot "because no one can be that lucky."
Also Villain can have J10 here a lot. |

Re: Live 1-2 A9 s River Bluff
Well he isn't folding a pair, so are you hoping he was floating you on the flop? You basically gave him 50$ in my opinion
