Default Ks Kh v. Kc 6c: KK misplayed?

sportsbook.com $3-6 7-handed

Did I misplay this hand? If so, how?

I was in the SB w/Ks Kh
the 1st 3 seats folded
4th seat raised to $6 (w/Kc 6c)
I (5th seat) reraised to $9
the BB folded
the 4th seat (the original raiser) called, leaving me and the 4th seat heads up
the FLOP came 4d 6s Qh
I bet $3, my opponent called
the TURN was the 6d, pairing the board and giving my opponent three sixes
I bet $6 and my opponent raised to $12
I reraised to $18
my opponent reraised to $24
I called
the RIVER was the 9c
I checked and my opponent bet $6
I called

First, don't tell us what your opponent had to start off your post. Some will argue it doesn't matter, but most will tell you that it will subtely influence any responses.

Having no read on the opponent, I would have gone to call down mode on his turn C/R with the board pairing.

Ya, don't show results in original post.

If I've read the hand right, there was no check/raise on the turn, just a 2bet and 4bet by opponent who is unlikely to have a 6 (due to preflop raise). FWIW, I play it the exact same way. I expect to see QQ after he caps the turn but I call down hoping to see AQ.

With no read, I'm 3-betting this turn as well. Your PF 3-bet against a steal doesn't mean you have a premium hand and you can expect to be raised with a lot of Qx hands, especially ones that picked up a FD on the turn.

The 4-bet means you're drawing to 2 outs and you should really consider folding.

If you're going to put in a bet on the river, you might as well b/f instead of c/c, unless you have a read that this person is capable of putting in 6BBs in a HU pot on a pure bluff.

For what it's worth. At least that is what I always thought it meant.

Yes, but in my case extended to clarify "for what it's worth, considering I'm a noob, take my advice with a grain of salt and/or caution".

basically you put too much money into the pot with only one pair, after your opponent is showing a lot of strength back at you.
