Default Does adding an extra question mark to a question change the tone?

for example, what tone does this convey:
[ QUOTE ]
Do these #s include xyz???? Thx

[/ QUOTE ]

compared to this:
[ QUOTE ]
Do these #s include xyz? Thx

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes. Urgency / Incredulous.

The "Thx" throws the whole thing off. If someone wrote me an e-mail with one ? and no thank you, I wouldn't think anything of it. If someone sent the same e-mail (no thx) with four ????, I'd think he's a douchebag.

Oh, yeah, the "Thx" at the end somewhat tempers the multiple "???" but it's still a heightened tone.

What about the same email, with just two question marks?
is that acceptable?

I can't stand when someone uses multiple questions marks in a serious context

Brick - haha it's acceptable I guess, but any more than a single "?" indicates more urgency, or you are somewhat incredulous. Even with the "thx" appended at the end.
