Default Stars 5400 FPP Sat: Super-Awesome or Super-Awful

5 left, 4 pay $215T, BB forced all-in, I'm UTG with very short stack and trash (trying to encourage unmentionable collusion), big stacks not playing to end it for whatever reason, blah, blah, blah...

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t600 (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

BB (t650)
Hero (t830)
MP (t4135)
Button (t7230)
SB (t2155)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
Hero calls t600, 2 folds, SB completes.

Flop: (t1150) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

Turn: (t1150) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets t600, Hero calls t180 (All-In).

River: (t1930) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: t1930

BB was forced all in with ante. I don't think it makes a huge differnce either way, only because your hand is so sucky. If it were a little better I'd say hell yeah.

I like it and would do the same. Is there a reason you only called instead of just shoving pf? I can't see any situation where you would fold after getting the 600 in.

Psychologically, I thought limping would encourage the big stacks to understand that they should limp along too. Given some previous hands, I was genuinely concerned that the BB would get a walk or one of the big stacks would shove and discourage any other play.

Yeah I guess that makes sense, regardless you are all in with the shortstack so you might as well try whatever you can to make sure you get the additional caller.
