76s CO post
I played mostly NL but this was one of the few interesting wierd lines in the Bellagio 30-60. I post in the CO. No reads. EP raise 1-2 callers and I call my posted 76s in the CO. 4 way raised.
Flop 962. Ch'd around. Turn X non big card. Raiser bets, I call. River brick. Raiser bets, I call. |

Re: 76s CO post
I've been out tonight so I feel like I'm misinterpreting something, but how did you not bet the flop?

Re: 76s CO post
Bizarre choice to check the flop. Don't you think EP probably has unimproved overcards and is simply passive?
As played, a turn raise for value is probably in order. It appears you have convinced a hand like AK that he may in fact be good. Your raise will likely look like a steal after so much weakness. As played, I'd just call the river as well, planning to snap off bluffs / lose the least to monsters. AK might bet, but I'd expect the kind of player who would bet AK to bet the flop. good luck. eric |

Re: 76s CO post
I posted because, as pointed out, a flop bet is standard but my ch behind led to his stab at it after ch'ing the flop. Not saying it's the better play. I just take some different lines sometimes, especially with unknowns, to see what follows.
He had AQ, as expected, and I'm guessing his river bet was to get AK-AQ to fold. Rather than a call from AJ. Giving him a free card was probably risky/bad but led him to bluff at it. Thought his double barrel after ch'ing the flop was interesting/weird/uncredible and he had to figure I had no hand. Tx for the responses. |
