Getting your bank roll to vegas

Heading to WSOP, what's the best way to get 20,30k for the WSOP? Obviously not cash.

I've never done it before, but I've watched stuff on the travel channel about it where they talk about the whales and how they do it. They get a Bank Cashier's check and then cash it in at the cage.

I'd call the Rio and ask them if they'd accept a bank Cashier's check (or checks, as you can do them in 10k increments or something).

If you are using some of the money to play in the main event, it might behoove you to preregister online and wire the money to them from your bank.

That way you won't have to carry so much cash with you, if you've already pre-paid for your registration.

If somehow you win your seat when you are there in a satalite, well all entry fees are (or so I've been told) fully refundable, so you can get your original entry fee you paid back.

P.S. Most casino's I've heard also have safety deposit boxes as well, where you can store large amounts of cash, once you get your money to the Casino.

I guess if you're planning on walking down back alleys this might be a bad plan, but I've often carried large amounts of cash to Vegas hotels and never had a problem. I tend to get off the plane, get in a cab/limo, go to a casino, get out, go to registration and get a room key and go to my room. Not much chance to "get jacked."
