Do we bet the turn here when we pick up more outs? Or should we check behind and hope to hit?

Preflop is pushing the boat out a bit.

I would always bet more on this flop. I normally double barrel when I pick up a draw like this, but Im not sure how profitable it really is.

Both are fine probably.

The way I see it, I bet that turn if I think he could call with worse, because I donīt see him folding better with any regularity, and he might raise, which would kind of suck. So if you feel that there is value in a bet, however thin, I think you should bet. Obviously we are behind a lot but we can worry about that some other time.

if you bet the turn you find out how strong they are and also gives a chance to pick the pot up on turn... you still have plenty of outs...

I like the bet on the turn.

-If villain has a draw, hero protects his hand.

-There are some better hands that villain will fold to a turn bet, like A9 for example.

-If villain sucks and will call with a hand like A8, hero gets value.

-If villain has a king, hero can usually get to showdown by betting the turn and checking the river. This line seems much better than checking and facing a tough decision when villain leads the river.

-If hero spikes a heart on the river, he's very happy to have built a bigger pot on the turn.

-The only time betting the turn sucks is when villain check-raises, and even then, hero often has implied odds to call the raise. Still, the more aggro and tricky a villain is, the more likely I am to check behind.

Double barreling an unknown is bad here IMO.
Most donks never fold a king, and even though you have picked up outs your equity is still low against TP. He has given you a freebie, but you refuse it. Why?

I bet small to bloat the pot, I figured an unknown was a weaker player so he wouldn't determine this as weak, but he'd still call with a K. Ya know? I figured my trips/2 pair outs were somewhat good so I called.. I guess it's kinda borderline but still, he raised so small.
