I've spent a lot of times up north and nothing comes close to the effectiveness of this:

really? I've tried citronella candles before and it doesn't seem to work. Have you tried both and found a noticeable difference?

The difference is night and day. If you dont want to deal with a lighting a coil try this product:

Thermacell

It uses the same repellent as the coils but without having to deal with any fire hazard. My hunting buddy swears by them anf the reviews on amazon and at Cabela's all say its a great product. They also make a larger lantern and I assume its just as effective.

Check out their site here:

thanks for the info. I saw the Thermacell at the store today but didn't buy it bc I was overwhelmed by the many hi-tech mosquito traps on the shelves alongside. It was one of the least expensive products so I thought it wouldnt be effective. The other traps cost from 250 to 1000 bucks. But I will try the Thermacell.....if it's recommended by a 2p2er then it must be good.

Just FYI.. this is not a trap but a repellent. Regardless, it will keep the bugs away. Check out the reviews here .

I ordered this over the internet. This plant is said to repel mosquitoes for about 10 square feet. I haven't got it yet, but let's see how it does. I like the natural way.

Is it a Chrysanthemum (sp?) 10 sqft is not enough. You need like 20 of them.
