Default Some questions about AC

Iam going to AC next tuesday and will be staying at Harrahs. I have only been to AC twice both times on bus trips just for the day, I have only played at the tropicana. I have read that the Taj has a 3/6 stud o/8 ame is this game played with a ante.

Is there plubic transportation that runs between the casinos, and if so were does it pick up and drop off, does it run 24 hours?

Also, is there anyting else to do in AC such as historical sites , muesums , or anything interesting?

No ante in the Stud portion, only a $1 bring-in. Also played with full kill. Doesn't always run though.

Yes, Jitney (small shuttle bus) runs very frequently. Picks up and drops off at basically every block on the boardwalk, plus marina casinos and a few other locations. Will take you anywhere for $2. I think it runs 24 hours, but I've never tested this.

The most famous attraction other than the casinos is the Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum on the boardwalk, but I've never been inside. Not sure about anything of historical interest.

The jitney runs 24 hours, but you'll have to wait a while during the graveyard hours. You pick it up on Pacific Avenue (behind the casinos). The #2 runs to the marina casinos (including the Borgata and Harrahs). Rides cost $2.

Also, I think Harrahs has a free shuttle to their other casinos (Showboat, Bally's and Caesars).

You might want to check out the Pier at Caesars and Tropicana's Quarter. Both are high quality attractions with high end dining, stores, bars, etc (Quarter for the bars/clubs). The Walk in the center of town has a bunch of outlet stores.

You never have to wait that long for jitneys, even at 3am one still comes along every five minutes or so, give or take, although going out the the Marina district where you'll be at is a different matter.

Just check out the boardwalk, pretty much everything between the Trop and the Taj. Never been to Ripley's, there's the Comedy Stop at Trop which is usually cool.

If you go to the Walk, there's a small place across the street from the Banana Republic called Los Amigos. I've been eating there as long as I can remember and it's still good.

I've waited much longer than that for Jitneys between 3 am and 5 am. They do clump up, and I think you sometimes can expect to wait 15-20 minutes for one to come by. Frankly, it is sometimes a 5-10 minute wait in the middle of the day.

I'm not saying this can't happen, but it's def the exception. I've never waited 15 minutes for a jitney, ever, and it's my hometown.

I've definitely waited more than 15 minutes for a Jitney, but only at Borgata. The lines can get kind of long there, and often the #2's only have a couple seats free because the have to keep two seats open for reasons I've never questioned.
