No Limit Holdem Ring game

Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $133.03
UTG+1: $328.19
CO: $278.05
Button: $51.75
SB: $208.43
Hero: $198.00

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, CO folds, Button calls, SB calls, Hero checks.

Why did you check the river? Wouldn't it be with the intention of check/raising? I can live with a river check/raise, though I think that leading out is likely to get you paid off more....

Do we fold to a raise if we bet river?

I'm really not trying to be results oriented, but my first venture into NL has been rough, I understand variance etc. but it seems in most cases... the second nuts is never good... in this case the villian had 98, and I was trying to protect and not force myself to a tricky decision if raised.... am I that wrong here?

Yeh, I reckon we call any small raise if we bet the river, as he could easily have 6x.

I would bet the river, probably around $20. You'd get paid off by a lot of hands that wouldn't bet if you checked. Villain only has like $40 left on the river, so if he shoves I'd probably end up calling that as well.

You should definitely have bet out on the river and wanted to get all in given stack sizes, simple as that.
