I do not know why these people make these bets. I have been check raised AI with these bets before and not sure I want that now? Or do I?

That's a fair question.

I'm raising it because I'm in position and I'm experimenting trying to get my stats beyond 15/13. It seems to be working thus far since I'm able to let go post flop on most occasions.

It also seems to be in line with TIEN's 6 max post.

Anyone else have thoughts on this raise?

He could have a nut flush draw, set, 2 pr, overpair. You can't put him strictly on the flush. I'd call and shove the river if not a club or pair the board.

I see the flop min-bet as either a blocking bet or he’s hoping you’ll raise him because he has an overpair.
Turn overbet? He’s either hit his flush draw or he now wants to protect his overpair (that’s not much help, is it?)
I call turn and probably fold to river bet but possibly value bet if he checks.

Maybe he thinks different.

Sometimes you get "check"raised on these, but a lot of the time it's two cards, that ... well, it's two cards. There's a lot of money in raising them through the roof, especially since you raised preflop. Problem is, this turn is usually a great one for hands that mindonked the flop, just like he is suggesting, so I'd fold this one, because I think it's highly unlikely that he flopped a great hand and just temporarily forgot how to play poker. I know, it's a straight, but this just seems to be one of the times, where you have to back down. Can't win every pot.

I like it for the same reasons you mentioned. Though I have to add that I try to concentrate on learning how to play position instead of cards, so I'd raise A7o here as well - which might be too lose.

Flop: Yah, you bethca. You'll take down the blinds and limps more often than not. And your c-bet will do the job if the initial raise doesn't.

Flop: I've been having a lot of success raising this up.

Here's his thinking: Well, that's a pretty dry flop. I'll bet he's only got overcards. Let's bet a little, just to see what he does, but not too much because twenty-five cents is almost half a Diet Sprite.

See! He only has overcards. Now it's safe for me to take this biach down, and then go tell my roomie how I schooled some donk for $2.65!

Anyway, I get it all in here. If he's dumb enough to bet ten cents, he's not smart enough to protect his made flush.
