Default Burn cards online

In online poker games do the RNGs actually burn cards or not?

In a real world game if a drawing hand needs a card, there has to be some chance that that card has been burnt and the hand is drawing dead. You can't know that during the game though, but if there is no burnt cards it has more of a chance of coming off the deck. I don't know if the math comes out to exactly the same if that card is not burned, because a card burnt that doesn't help your hand actually helps your draw. So in a case where one hand is ahead but only has a 50/50 chance of holding up in an all in situation, would the fact that some cards are burned actually change the percentage to favor the made hand?

I don't care if people have a problem with someone asking a question. Just put the math out there and I'll learn from it and someone else might also. I know that it seems like a stupid question to some people, but I would rather be 100% sure about it then just take someone's word for it who may not have thought it through completely.

In a game with burn cards would you rather have the 50/50 made hand or drawing hand? In a game without burned cards would you rather have the same made hand or the drawing hand? If it doesn't matter and you are sure that it doesn't, then put the math out there and let that be scrutinized. It's just a question from someone trying to think and learn about poker.

Imagine we are looking to cut a deck of cards and get a spade. The odds are obviously 1/4.

Now we are looking to see the probability of getting a spade on the second card drawn not knowing what the first was (this will simulate a burn happened). We need to make a tree to see all possible cases of what the first card could have been considering what we are interested in is a spade. Notice the final outcome is still 1/4.

Here is an image for you to consider that paragraph.

Like rj said, it doesn't matter if a card is burned or not since you have no information about the cards that were burned. Your odds of drawing the Ah from the top of a shuffled deck are 1/52. Burn the top card and it's still 1/52. Burn 51 cards and it's still 1/52 even if though there's only one card left. Your odds don't change at all since you have no information on what was burned.

This is very similar to the kind of post that gets flamed on a regular basis. However, I don't think it's the same...OP is having trouble with this concept, and would like to see some proof. This is not a common misconception, it's very similar to people who are conviced that how you play "third base" at a Blackjack table has an impact on their fortunes.

Don't get me wrong, I agree COMPLETELY with everyone...overall, the burned cards have NO impact on your hands. I just can't provide the mathematical proof. Maybe I can given some time, but someone with a better grounding in statistics might be able to help out before then. Or OP will continut to be mercilessly lambasted (deservedly so, in some respects). OP...I'll just say this much. I am 100% certain, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that it doesn't matter in the least whether you having a drawing hand or a made hand. It is extremely obvious to me that this is so, I'm just lost for the exact words to prove it to you ATM. Hopefully someone can provide you with the proof you're looking for.

EDIT: LOL, took me so long to type that, I see two people have helped out already.
