Tommy Craddick Kills Legal Texas Poker
The bill to legalize poker was voted favorable out of committee and a majority of the Texas House and Senate said they would vote for it. The Governor said he would sign it.
However, House Speaker, Tommy Craddick, of Midland, Texas put it at the very bottom of the agenda and time ran out as he knew it would. It will be two more years before poker comes up. Tommy Craddick is poker's enemy. That's my gossip and that's my view. |

Re: Tommy Craddick Kills Legal Texas Poker
The news here for me is that Perry said he would sign it.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he pander to the social conservatives and claim he wouldn't sign it? Interesting. |

Re: Tommy Craddick Kills Legal Texas Poker
There was another bill being proposed to get casinos in TX also, but that was without poker.
I don't know what happened with that though. |

Re: Tommy Craddick Kills Legal Texas Poker
Craddick's a crazy son of a gun, they tried to force him out of his seat in the Texas House.
