Default $11 Push over one limper with K9s

There was a fair amount of limp/folding going on, so I wasn't too concerned with the limper. I'm just checking if I shouldn't have felt as desperate as I did. Was this a bad push?

PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t150 (6 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

UTG (t2180)
Hero (t815)
CO (t3700)

BB (t1455)

Preflop: Hero is in UTG+1 with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
UTG calls t150, Hero raises to t815 (All-in)

I don't think it's great w/ the limper. K9s would be a nice open push but the limper will really want to call you.

Thanks darinvg. Just for clarification - are you saying that the limper will want to call, because his range makes it a good call or that limpers at the $11 level hate to let go of their hand, even when they should?

Maybe becuase most of the value of re-popping a limper is all that fold equity..which you don't have much of..

..Also, (and maybe this is just me)when you are called it would be nice if ur cards were live..as it is, K9 tends to be dominated or slightly behind against the ranges i put a typical villain on..

Limpers (generally bad players when the blinds are this high) won't fold since it's not that much more to call. They wanted to see a flop and they're going to see a flop!

I actually have no problem with this play. I think he's quite fine with being called here. When down to 4-6 BBs, I'm content taking flips or -EV spots for the chance to get back in the game. I obviously would prefer a pair or an A here, but K9s has showdown value. Leak?

I don't like it unless the UTG limper has been very loose and will actually be limping here with a range that K9s does very well against. I doubt this is the case.

Yes, he said in general there had been a lot of limping...does that mean this specific player has been limping a lot from ep?

What does the read "i'm not worried about limper mean?"
