NL10 playing against an ultra tight villan
The villan in was ultra tight/passive. His stats were 10/3/.75 over about 150 hands.
Initially I was raising to steal the blinds, as I was doing most rounds because he was immediately to my left, and was so incredibly tight. He was folding to probably 95% of my steal attempts. When he played back at me I knew he had big cards, and called hoping to flop a monster and stack him. I'm wondering, was this call too loose, even with the button and the above info? I know I can easily fold, knowing I have the worst hand, but the chance to double through him was there somewhat I suppose. Re: NL10 playing against an ultra tight villan
If he's that tight than you want to control the size of pot, only better kings are calling your raises from this villain. I'm thinking cheap showdown here.

Re: NL10 playing against an ultra tight villan
If he is as tight as u say I would fold preflop after he plays back at me. But that also depends on how he has reacted to "blindstealing" before.

I didn't even see the PF 3B from villain, 100% fold this trash after he 3-bets you

Re: NL10 playing against an ultra tight villan
Fold preflop.
The rest is fine. You're not calling for implied odds just to get a cheap showdown when you hit. You may be beat, or villian may just be tired of getting run over and decided to stack off no matter what. |
