Two simultaneous mice, three monitors...doable?
Hello, People Smarter Than Me...
I'm wondering if there is a way to run separate mice on the same system, to where two pointers were going at once...probably a three-monitor setup. I've searched online and lots of what is written about the idea is stuff my limited computer brain doesn't understand. Is this feasible? If so, how? Thanks in advance for your input. |

Re: Two simultaneous mice, three monitors...doable?
1) multiple monitors is easy and common
2) multiple mice is possible (this is most commonly done when a mouse is plugged into a laptop with a trackpad) - but windows normally only has one cursor 3) a google search seems to suggest that it is not possible on windows (there's some discussion of it at http://weblogs.asp.net/cfranklin/arc.../21/77787.aspx in accessible language and it seems that the consensus is that a whole bunch of windows is based upon one window having the focus, and on one mouse click, and one mouse movement at a time, and so on) |

Re: Two simultaneous mice, three monitors...doable?
If you want to know what a crappy job is think of sharing a monitor screen with someone. That is what I think Microsoft is working on for one of the off shore countries. Two people using one machine at the same time with a split monitor. Look around on Engadget or google for it. Shared computing is probably a good start.

Your best bet is to just buy another PC and have two computers

Get one of these:
Different images from different viewpoints. Truly balla. Two different mice, two active cursors. That's gotta be possible. |

[/ QUOTE ] 1) while the idea is cute, it has literally no relevance to the OP (unless he has three heads to view the monitor from three different locations simultaneously) 2) the cursor limitation is in-built to Windows' architecture. |
