Canadians unable to make account with Bodog??
I tried to make an account with Bodog today, as soon as I clicked Canada for country my sign-up was stopped and it said something about jurisdiction issues, any other country worked fine... Im just wondering if anyone knows the reasoning behind this...
thanks |

Re: Canadians unable to make account with Bodog??
The founder of Bodog is Canadian and to avoid legal problems he doesn't allow Canadians. He's got to have somewhere to go since he'd probably be arrested if he ever set foot in the US.

Are Canadian IP's banned? I.e. If my friend who lives in the u.s. signs up and returns to Canada to play when on vacation?

Re: Canadians unable to make account with Bodog??
its not about where you are and the IP address, I was creating an account and when I got to the step of filling in my address, the moment I clicked Canada as my country of residence it took me to a new page saying: due to some jurisdiction issues Canadians were not able to create accounts

Re: Canadians unable to make account with Bodog??
I believe he's asking because it could be about BOTH. For example, Party doesn't allow Americans, but they also IP ban anyone from playing while in the US...presumably to stop Americans from playing on an account from another country.
