Re: NL25 Set on the river in trouble?
I call here.
I think we see badly played overcards like AA/KK more often than a set or A3. Or possibly a horrendously played pair. I don't like it though. |

I shove here all-day; If he had A3, rebuy

Re: NL25 Set on the river in trouble?
I'm folding against a range of 88, TT and AA. I don't ever see AK here and JJ-KK leads most of the time on these flops and nearly 100% of these turns.

Re: NL25 Set on the river in trouble?
easy call. i think you are vulnerable enough that a call is better than a shove. but i think villains range here is wide enough for the call to be fairly profitable. if you lost, my guess is 67s or set Ts.

Re: NL25 Set on the river in trouble?
call river bet due to the fact that he could easily have two pair... i dont see a reason to raise here though.... you do not know what he has.... next time by calling it is a lot easier and you dont get urself in tough spots..

Re: NL25 Set on the river in trouble?
Would he really 3-bet a two-pair that high when two straights are possible? Villain didn't seem to be very fishy.

Re: NL25 Set on the river in trouble?
There's actually 3 straights possible but 36 is almost out of the question. I expect to be beaten here a good deal of the time. Pushing is terrible advice given how deep the stacks are. I don't think I even call the 3 bet on the river.

Re: NL25 Set on the river in trouble?
hero has passively checked down to the river... villain would not expect hero to hit a set on the river or have anything.... this is my reasoning for two pair raising on river.

Re: NL25 Set on the river in trouble?
Regardless of how disguised this set is, what two pair could the villian possibly have given his numbers and preflop action? 25/45/T8 are highly unlikely.
