He probably lays down two overcard against the raise. If he calls my raise, I still have 6 outs against an overpair and if he reraises me I'm out. I woudn't mind a call from AK or AQ that much because if the 5 falls I'll probably stack him. |

Who is MP? It's important to define the hands range.
Anyway put him on 22+, any SC, AJo+, ATs+: in this case his cbet it's standard. You really don't want that an high card fall on turn so a raise it's ok: anyway fold to a 3bet (on such a board this usually means a set or KK+) because otherwise you are playing for stack with only 6 outs (maybe only 4 if he already hit his set). |

I reraise this preflop in position. As played I raise here as well and fold to a 3bet. If he calls I'll probably bet 4/5 pot on a non-A/K/Q turn.

I like this. If he calls you pretty much have to give up.

I dont like it. If he has overs you probably dont want to raise and I doubt he has them. If he has an overpair it will require a strong bet on the turn to take the pot away. If taking the pot away is possible here at all. I'd like it very much if you were deep though with the intention to take a free card on the turn. Hitting a 5 when he has JJ here is priceless.

is 3-betting low/medium PP's in pos. really +EV in micros ?
I've always though that people playing that low only raise the very premiums and never lay 'em down. Oh and is anywhere on these forums a post about AF numbers, like what they really mean as there is for vp$ip ? |

I like it. Raises like this makes it so much easy to know where you're at. If he has an overpair, you would probably called a bet on turn anyway.
An if he's got two high cards, you don't want him drawing. So yeah, nice. Is the raise a little big, though? |

I like the flop raise. If villain is raising the top 15% of hands from MP then he has a PP here ~25% of the time. We have a vulnerable hand and don't mind a fold from overcards. If he has an overpair we get a free turn a decent % of the time and great implied odds for our draw.
