Re: I have a set
Jim, I bet 20 every flop. Do you think its fine to change flop bet amounts based on texture?

I bet 20 every flop. Do you think its fine to change flop bet amounts based on texture? [/ QUOTE ] Most definitely. Personally, my flop bet sizes are determined almost exclusively by the texture of the board, unless stack size/metagame considerations take over. On some boards, say a pair, no straight draw, rainbow, it makes sense to bet small since there are few hands that can call with a draw, on drawy boards, so many more gutshots and runner draws are possible, not to mention the primary draws, so you need to bet more to charge for them. When you actually have a big hand or draw on these boards, you usually want to get the money in fast, and betting pot or close to pot helps a lot. When you mediocre/bad hand, you don't have to worry about people peeling against you as much, because it costs so much, and reverse implied odds are a bitch. |

Re: I have a set
your defualt should be larger than 20 witha 32 pot...and i think changing it up is good just so long as there is not a pattern that your opponents can exploit...

Re: I have a set
20 into 32 is pretty standard for me on a lot of boards, (T53r, KK4 etc), but not this one.

Re: I have a set
$28 on the flop and then jam over his raise. Can't see anything but a fold on that ugly turn card.
