Default 50 NL, riddle of the day (Help me assign a range)

What hand doesn't bet PF, c/r the flop, min bets the turn, and push the river

Villain is 54/13/.68, tiny sample size of 43

I've got $28 left to call the river

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $48.75
BB: $27.25
UTG: $16.95
MP: $70.80
CO: $50.00
Hero (BTN): $49.25

Preflop: Hero is dealt 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG calls $0.50, MP calls $0.50, CO folds, Hero raises to $3.00, 3 folds, MP calls $2.50

Flop: ($7.25) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
MP checks, Hero bets $5.00, MP raises to $10.00, Hero calls $5.00

I just fold flop.

When you are behind, drawing to 2 outs.

Even when you are ahead, he often has lots of outs; flushdraw ect.

As played, turn call is fine. River must be a fold.

Find a better hand to stack him.

The question isn't what I should have done, but more of what range he has.

I don't hate my flop call, I don't like it too much either, but lets run with this. His stats are pretty much useless other than the fact that we know he's loose and passive. I don't have a % of how often he calls a PF bet, nor would it matter as sample size is small.

Range PF - small pp, suited connectors. I think he raises JJ+ and AJ+ along with KQ since his PFR % is decent.

If villain has a suited connector, he's bluff raising the flop if he connected. If he has a pocket pair and hit a set, then he's trying to price me in with a min bet.

If you have anything to add, or you disagree with my analysis so far, post

It's so likely he plays like a donk that we cant really be sure of his range because we have no idea if hes even aware about protecting a hand on the turn, etc.

I could see a player hitting a set, thinking hes slow playing you on this board, and then when the flush doesnt come, thinks youll stack off with a pair here.

His range is wide.

The reason i don't like the flop call, is that you play the rest of the hand in the dark. You have no idea about if he has a draw, or Tx.

I think he is about equally likely to have a draw or a hand that beats you, with an occasionally stone cold bluff thrown in.

If you take your line, you don't really have any idea about where your at. Hearts missed, but a lot of other draws have hit a pair.

And that's what makes this hand interesting. Poker isn't about exploiting just the obvious edges, it's also about being able to yell SHIP IT when your superior hand reading and post flop skills dominate.

So, back to the question, assign a range please

I am finding it difficult to assign a range. Remember, we havent sat with this player for the other hands in this session.

I put a bluff at <5% of his range here though simply based on the AF given.

Range:

Since he limps (with a 13 % pfr), we can exclude a lot hands.

10's+ he would raise.

AJ+.

KQ.

Draws: QJ, J9, 79, 76 (any could be hearts obv). Axs, KJs, and maybe something like 23-45s.

Made hands: 10x (A-7), 88, 22. Rarely a slowplayed overpair.

Bluff and overpairs are unlikely. Real hand range is set, 2-pair, and straight with 22 or JTs most likely.

This is along the lines of the range I would give, but I just wasnt too sure. I definitely think OP is behind Donks range.
