Default River overcall?

One orbit with the CO, seems tight but no reads really.

7Handed 5/10 limit

HJ and CO limp, I complete A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and BB checks.

Flop 5SB
4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

I bet, HJ and CO call.

Turn 4BB
4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I bet, HJ and CO call.

River 7BB
4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
I bet, HJ raises, CO calls..

Yes, PF is a raise but I'm interested on the river.

12:1 and closing the action is good enough for me.

and yeah, preflop, don't do that anymore.

This is pretty close. I am not sure your hand is good here 1/13. If it were HU it's an insta-call, but the fact that CO calls makes your TPTK significantly less likely to win. I think against unknowns I fold here and take a note.

raise PF. having just completed, C/R flop.

agree that 12-1, closing action is good enough to overcall river. HJ usually has a flush, but the price is right.

Who are you going to C/R on the flop? There's no indication that someone will bet for you. Just bet out and make the draws pay to see the next card.

Raise preflop.

Fold that river. B/F is vastly superior to C/C and B/C here. The pot is large, but unless you have a read this is a fold. There are simply no hands you are beating but a squeeze. Qx/J2 are highly unlikely.

only the most passive CO will not bet this if it gets checked to him on the flop, assuming no one bets earlier. C/R here is nice because people put you on a weak queen (or air when you C/R the CO's bet), never AQ. the pot's small enough that you can risk the free card if the flop is checked through.

Calling this river sucks.

The board paired, someone cold called, and it put a third club out, you have one pair.

earlytimes: You are missing a lot of value for no reason. And HJ/CO are likely passive due to their openlimp and overlimp preflop.

I'm with ben and strat here, we're winning here basically never.
