Someone offered me a bet today, i was very confident that clemens will not win 10 games this year, he was very confident that he would.
can the old guy still do it? |

Re: roger clemens to win 10 games?
he could, but given the possibility of injury, how far we are into the season, and the yankees [censored] bullpen - that's a solid bet.

Re: roger clemens to win 10 games?
I voted no. 9-5 sounds about right.
And what's up with ESPN showing all the half innings when he's pitching in the minors. Is it really that big of a deal? |

Re: roger clemens to win 10 games?
i wish they would've shown the full game in his AA start so i could see buchholz, not just slobby roger laboring through the portland lineup

It's certainly possible, but it's not probable, so take the bet.

Roger will win 10 games. He's going to get 20-22 starts barring injury.

Re: roger clemens to win 10 games?
don't think he does it, he has to avoid injury and even though he's proven to be durable, he's still up there in age and wasn't going all that deep into games last year, though that might have been done to preserve him for the long haul too rather than him getting too tired...
the yankees bullpen is shaky and he's going to have to face much better offenses on a more consistent basis... |
