I like this a whole lot more if the other guy had raised preflop.

I check behind on flops like this a lot.

This actually wouldn't be a terrible flop to check behind on, because we hit is so hard. As played, I think I just call and fold to a big bet on the turn unimproved. If you do check some flops, this would be a great flop to check for balance. It conceals our draws a little more than betting/betting a spade turn does IMO.

i hate the shove here... what do you think your beating here? your behind to basicly all of villians holdings, your only hope is that he folds a better hand which is unlikely imo

LOL we have 7 high, this is obviously a semibluff. I disagree that we don't fold any hands better than 7 high too.

I think checking isn't a bad line to take on this flop, depending on how aggro villain is. If he folds to a lot of c-bets, or just calls then betting seems fine. But checking this flop for balance isn't bad either. It just sucks when villain makes psb on a blank turn. I would mix up my play here after he raises though. Sometimes I would shove, sometimes I would call. It depends greatly on the villain.

Saying he should be checking this flop is severe results oriented thinking. No 2p2er checks this flop like ever
