QQ 3bet preflop against hyperaggressive Tag 22/14/9, very light 3betti

villain is 22/14/9. He has been 3betting really light. Was it correct to shove ?

Meh, I dont really like it unless you think he calls with TT/JJ/AQ hands. If he doesnt then youre letting him play perfectly and only get called when dominated or flipping with AK.

Yea, I usualy agree with this. But this guy was really getting on my nerve with his constant 3betting. What is a good defense against this ? Call and shove flop if no overcards ?

Yeah personally I'd rather just smooth call it and c/r or c/c a lot of flops. It sucks when the flop comes Axx but an A and/or K only flops like 1/3 of the time so I think that this is the most +EV way to play it. Im not gonna lie and say Ive never shoved here with QQ but its dumb bc they never ever fold a better hand and rarely call with JJ. If hes overaggro Ill let him lead the whole whole way.

Excellent post. An area I need to work on as well(playing in pots where youre being 3bet light and you call)

tks for the replies. Yeah, villain had AA. I think the better strategy is to call and check raise if no overcards fall on flop.

When villains start 3 betting me nonstop I start 4 betting once or twice and they calm right down. My 4 bets arent full pot though so I'm not giving myself odds to call there shoves. Also shoving is bad as it lets villain play perfectly and make few mistakes.

Depends on your image, but if he has any respect for your play usually EV+.

If he is 3-betting light why do you give him a chance to play perfectly against you
