Default TT in Overpair Flop

Villian is MP2, 27%/12.5%/1.24. So,loose, quite aggresive PF, and pretty aggressive overall.

PokerStars 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, MP2 calls, <font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, BB calls.

Standard.

Flop: (6.50 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, MP2 calls, BB calls.

I raise here to gain information and to drive out draw hands. In hindsight, there arent many draw hands here.

Turn: (6.25 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP2 raises</font>, BB folds, Hero ...

Final Pot: 9.25 BB

Ugh. What information did you get and what do you think you should do with it.

hint
This is why "raising for information" is bad.

I did end up folding the turn, but I was stressed by the decision.

I think this is a bad habit I have from when I read phil hilmuths books that basically say to raise every frickin hand you have for information. I will try to cut this out. At these low limits, any information I would get anyways is tainted by poor players.

Thanks, K.

i think the flop raise is mandatory. we have a decent hand and perfect position to protect it.

maybe its just me but a 1.24 af isn't pretty aggressive in my book.

Like Tyler said, I like the flop raise. Just don't call it for information. Your hand has a decent chance of being good here. After MP2 calls 2 on the flop and raises the turn, just get out. That chance of being good doesn't mean too much anymore.

*grunch*

Folds. You are at best in the hand w/ two outs. If BB didn't have you beat on the flop, I would say that MP2 certainly does now.

lol at the 'decision' to fold the turn.

the turn fold is easy. the turn bet is harder.

I was villain in this hand. I had you beat already on the flop (and I knew it) but I didn't want to drive BB out so I just called your raise, hoping you (or BB) will keep betting. With the turned Q I couldn't give any more free card and raised, but quite hoped you will call me down. After this very hand I took a note 'knows to b/f'.
