Default NL100: Flush overbet on river

I have been playing at the table for about a half an hour and

This looks fine to me. Totally standard in my mind.

you overbet push here? I know there's been a lot of discussion about it here but I've found it never works against weak players unless they have a super hand, basically they think big bet = big hand and a flush is super obvious here.

He got lucky here I think the guy made three of a kind or he would have never called.

Maeby your right. one the other side:

If he only have had the middle pair,
i am not sure, he would have called a
standard 3/4 pot bet anyway..

By doing overbet, i have the opportunity,
He will call, because he thinks i am trying
to steel the pot, both with trips (as he had)
but maybe also with high pair... of course
the is also an opportunity, that he have the flush,
even thou it is small..
and in that case i pay off wery well.

I also thinks, that sometimes an overbet push
will get called more often, than a bet, which
shows heavy strength..
But maeby you are right "muddydog" at these lower
tables, an of coursed it depends on your impression
of Villian..

Well the big overbet on the river usually means a monster and it was no differant here. Your lucky that he had a biggish hand but in general I don't like it.

I think the push works fine if you put villian on that hand. But in general I wouldn't bet that much.
