texas calculatem is the one you are probably thinking of. I got it free when i signed up for party poker years back. it has slight value but honestly, you are better commiting the normal outs/odds to memory and focus more on watching the players than watching calculatem. if you have AQ and an early position player raises large under the gun having folded every hand in the last 30 minutes, calculatem will say call--which would be a disaster. Instead, learn to count your outs--every card that makes your hand a likely winner--take times 4 if it's on the flop, times 2 if it's on the turn. the result gives you the approx percent chance of making your hand by the river. ex: you have a four flush on the flop. there are 9 more of the suit that will give you the flush, 9 outs x 4 = approx 36% chance of hitting your flush. if you still are drawing on the turn, your chances are approx 18%.
