This is a $100 buy-in 2/3 live cash game.
Here's the situation. One limper in MP. I raise to $15 with AJo in CO. B calls, SB calls and BB goes all-in for $42 total. I reraise to $115 total B has about $150 behind. SB has about $250 behind. I have about $250 behind. Is this standard? |

I just modified my post to remove all reads. I actually like to know whether this is standard in most situations without reads on players, so assume you just sat down.
I'll also wait on posting results until after comments so I don't bias your replies |

Well, here are some assumptions I would be comfortable making without any reads.
BB is all-in and I would assume that I have the right odds to call all but a range that only includes AA. I would assume SB and B would have raise with any decent holding strong enough to call my $100 raise. I guess what I'm asking is then, are these assumptions reasonable? If so, then my thinking was that I could push out B and SB and the dead money in the pot would give me enough pot odds to play any of BB's range. |

That is more of at tournament play than a cash game play. It is usually only done in tournaments when you think the allin is weak or it is close to a 50/50.
In a cash game it is okay, but I think I would just move in if I was going to do this. |

I think I agree, but I'm not a great (nor even good) tournament player. So could you explain a little more about what makes this a good tournament play more than cash game play?
I thought about raising all-in but I didn't want to risk my entire stack and didn't want such a large overbet to arouse suspicion that I was overcompensating for a not-so-great hand. But I realize that if someone came over the top, I'm essentially given the same pot odds to risk the risk of my stack. ...so admittedly, this wasn't thought all the way through |

tournament play in the sense that any player can fold AA/KK and still have somebody bubble out.

Just to complete the post and give results.
B and SB folded pretty quickly. BB turns over 55. My hand misses the board and BB takes down pot. I remain friends with B and SB despite taking a pot either one of them could have won against BB. |
