Default Hotels by Bay 101

I have tried a couple of hotels by the Bay 101 and am not overly happy with them. I realize there is a hotel across the street but heard it was pricey.

Does anyone know about a clean, quite, and value priced hotel nearby?

hotels in san jose generally cater to .com corporate types, and are thus grossly overpriced and often packed regardless.

www.hoteldeanza.com is where people i know usually shack up in San Jose when in town for a night or two.

For weekends, you can stay at the Double Tree a few blocks away for about $60.

Be advised that they friggin charge for parking.

Just about every decent place in the area has sky-high prices during the week to gouge the business traveler. Staybridge Suites next door to Bay 101 is about $185 a night during the week. Anything better than a Motel 6 for under $100 is going to be hard to find.

I am going to try the Fairfield Inn by marriot. It is a mile or two away but no big deal by car. $79 a night for a king.

Any insight on this place?

The reviews on Hotels.com where good.
